Virginia: Car Accidents – a Lawyer’s Settlement (October 20, 2013)

On October 4, 2013, Mr. Waterman settled a car accident lawsuit pending in Circuit Court for the City of Williamsburg and James City County, Virginia. It isMerritt-Lewis v. Parrott, No. CL11-575.

The victim was rear-ended on Lafayette Street near the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation facility. For her injuries she was attended by the Williamsburg Fire Department treated principally by Sentara healthcare providers for years.

Progressive paid its liability policy limits and State Farm contributed underinsured motorist (“UIM”) coverage to settle the car crash case. Mr. Waterman has been handling personal injury and wrongful death cases for over 30 years.
