Id. at 13-14. “Failure to avoid cyclist” reports a waste hauling truck hitting and injuring a bicyclist and resulting in $4,500,000.00 2018 California mediated settlement. Id. at 14. “Failure to check brakes during service visits” recounts a mechanic causing one-car crash injuries and resulting in $335,000.00 2018 Connecticut settlement. Id. Finally, “Lack of safety pins on rail track” covers a railway-yard truck causing injuries and resulting in $1,630,000.00 2019 California jury award. Id. at 15.
