On August 19, 2021, Avery T. “Sandy” Waterman, Jr., Esq., whose law offices are in Williamsburg, Newport News, and Hampton, again was voted “Lawyer of the Year” by his peers in The Best Lawyers of America for Southeast Virginia – the 5th time in the last 9 years that he has been so honored. Best Lawyers recognized Mr. Waterman as “Lawyer of the Year” for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiff (vehicle accident victims) for 2022 and for Medical Malpractice Litigation – Plaintiff for 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020. This also marks the 16th consecutive year since 2007 that he has been named by Best Lawyers both for Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiff and for Medical Malpractice – Plaintiff.
