Virginia: Medical Malpractice – a Lawyer’s OrthoVirginia

On March 27, 2018, Richmond Circuit Court ordered over Herbert & Satterwhite objection, the medical malpractice plaintiff’s motion to compel discovery of: (1) “all orientation materials, including…employee manual”; (2) “all training materials…that touch upon or relate to fall risk or patient falls”; and (3) the name, author, editor, publisher, and publication date of any and all physical therapy textbooks, study materials, or similar documents that [defendant’s employee] received at any time between August 1, 2014, and May 1, 2016.”  The case is Hardwick v. OrthoVirginia, Inc., No. CL17-3995 (Richmond Mar. 27, 2018).
