Trial is the monthly legal journal of American Association for Justice (“AAJ”), formerly American Trial Lawyer Association (“ATLA”).  Its April 2018 issue is titled “Environmental HAZARDS”.

Trial’s “Verdicts & SETTLMENTS” reports 6 vehicle accident cases.  Id. at 10-21.  “Collision center glued on roof resulting in car’s catastrophic structural failure” marquees a 2017 Texas jury award of $41,940,000.00.  Id. at 10, 12. “Failure to order lane closure at highway construction site” highlights a 2017 Florida jury personal injury award of $45,005,000.00 Id. at 12.  “Sanitation worker fatally crushed between street sweepers” covers a 2017 New York jury wrongful death award of $41,500,000.00.  Id. at 14.  “Tired truck driver causes fatal collision” chronicles a 2017 Nebraska jury wrongful death award of $2,250,000.00.  Id. at 14, 16-17.  “Failure to maintain lane” details a 2018 Georgia personal injury settlement for $6,750,000.00.  Id. at 17.  “Railroad failed to take precautions that could have prevented fatal collision” recaps a 2017 Georgia jury wrongful death award of $11,220,000.00.  Id. at 19, 21.   Trial also features an article about tort liability for bicycle sharing, “Bike Share ROADBLOCKS”.  Id. at 47-49.
